The "extra strong" Akes 23 model has been designed as an entirely customized version of the Akes 23 original boat. This hull has been reproduced in - no less than - 6 mm thick 5083 Aluminium. The same material of 8 mm thickness has been used for the realization of the internal frame and the transom has been built in 25 mm plate. The bottom of the boat can bear a stress three times as high as the one caused by the design loads provided by the CE regulations; the transom bears a stress 10 times as high. So it has been easy to rig the boat with massive 2x225 HP for 50 knots .
