Low weight and smoothness , objectives achieved in the design of the boat, are also reflected in the fuel consumption, which is significantly lower than that of a classic equal-sized boat. A hull that is stable both transversely and longitudinally, as well as dry, makes it possible to be able to return in any weather condition. But safety is also passive: despite the fact that it is really difficult to scratch the thick hull of the Cancelli 27, as the aluminum is top material in the resistance to abrasion, the design of the hull has provided a compartmentalization in a watertight manner and in addition to that buoyancy reserves in foam material , so as to remain afloat even if broken. In addition to worthy marine qualities and sturdiness, the boat design was developed with special attention to on-board comfort and deck ergonomics. No cramped spaces, no wasted areas: two large swim platforms make it pleasant to spend sunny moments lying comfortably in the stern with your feet soaking, a side passage from over 60 cm wide makes immediate access to the cockpit; the dining (and dinner) area is very comfortable thanks to the opposing sofas in the middle of which quickly rigs a generously sized table that can also act as an extension sundeck aft; the aft sofa houses the livewell on one side and has side protection handles for maximum safety.
The bolster - central driving seat , is also surrounded between grab handles that can always offer a solid hold, conceals a locker that can hold the refrigerator or other equipment and acts as a seat opposite the gear to take advantage of the dining area or lumbar rest for pilot and co-pilot. The console has the instrumentation ergonomically arranged without falling into major flaws unfortunately typical of many boats i.e. steering wheel resting against the belly, too low, or throttle in the wrong position, without prejudice to the arrangement of the onboard instruments that makes them easy to read. The bow is accessed by two convenient steps and the entire deck area encloses the deckhouse with manhole on which cushions can be arranged to form the bow sundeck, all framed by the side safety handles. The bow ends with the watertight space in which the electric anchor windlass and chain find their place.
Another refined and perfected solution is the “G-top” canopy made of continuous turning tube on which a sheet metal is welded that acts , as well as a shelter, as a base for all kinds of instruments and lights. Through a 60-cm wide, sliding door, there is the access to the interior of the deckhouse, which conceals a cabin in which one can comfortably sleep thanks to the large 210-cm long by 180-cm wide max bed with the possibility of a dedicated bathroom and sink. The cabin is well lit during the day thanks to the large window and at night thanks to the LED light system with adjustable intensity; the choice of color and type of fabrics is customizable.
