Aluminum Ribs are becoming more and more popular, because they join the strength , lightness and possibility of customization of the marine aluminum with safety and user experience of the rigid inflatable boat. Not so long time ago the difficulty of make well shaped and curved tube wells was a hard point to overcome and aluminum ribs were simply shaped , rough designed, something suitable for professional users but at the same time almost ugly compared with top class fiberglass rib production. Thanks to the latest CAD – CAM technologies and the experience of Akesdesign in rib design , it has been possible to design an aluminum rib with attractive and modern look, at the same level of top class fiberglass production ribs. The design of Alumboats Thetys 680 has many focus points: rigid bow, that hides the anchor/ roller, and allow the passage without superimposed additional structures; wide space inboard thanks to the large bow, center-consolle layout with stern bench, spacious stern platforms, possibility of t-top and roll-bar. As for the hull, Thetys 680 is equipped by a variable geometry V hull with high bow sheer and innovative spray rail design, in order to achieve max stability, good performances with smaller engines maximum dryness and of course, keep high the family name in rough seas.
