Giganti Marine 550 is developed on the hull of Vento 500, and it is a upgraded version. Bigger, a lot more space in the deck, many attention paid during deck design. As for the seakeeping, it has been designed using all-weather requirements: extremely deep-V hull, with an average deadrise greater than 35°, it ensures wonderfully smooth impacts in the waves without any kind of comparison with same sized ribs; Single step on the hull is located in a way to keep a correct balance and low trim angle, improving longitudinal dynamic stability, avoid the nose up entering on the plane, to face the breaking waves with no worries. All can be resumed in "it makes the sea more calm than it really is".
Read MoreThe accurate study about weight distribution, and correct location of center of gravity, joint to dynamic behavior simulations, adding the gathered experience on the prototype, have been necessary to make a rib that overcomes normal requirements for a customer demanding an "entry level rib". The stiffness of the costruction, using biaxial glass and large thickness, exceed what is required by CE regulations. Due to its thickness, toughness and smooth ride, Giganti 550 is unbreakable even for a "heavy throttle" driver. The deck layout provides a stern area with 2 big platforms, flat area around the engine (only 1 cable passage centered), stern wide seat, helm seat with multi-position inox mechanism for the backrest (3 main positions , front stand up drive, seating, and towards stern, plus more intermediate position as preferred), center-left wide and protective consolle , full deck, with 2+ m sunbed lenght, 3 lockers in the bow deck. With 5 front seats during navigation, and big lockers, a gasoline 60L tank, 40 L water with shower, the Giganti 550 could be a valid rib for mid range cruising and nauticamping. Giganti 550 can be powered by outboards from 40 up to 115 hp, for speed over 40 knots, but even with a 40 hp it has good performance (30+ knots) and a strong acceleration. Unsinkable, self bailing. Of course.
